About Us


Conference of Childhood, Education & Society (ConferenceCES) is an esteemed international initiative and forum that invites academics, scholars, researchers, practitioners, and policy-makers to engage in discussions centered around childhood, education and society. This initiative is devised by the editorial board of the Journal of Childhood, Education & Society (JCES), and it brings together dedicated individuals who voluntarily participate in this platform. The governance structure of ConferenceCES consists of an organizing committee and an advisory board under the leadership of Dr Mehmet Toran. The organizing committee assumes full responsibility for coordinating the ConferenceCES, while the advisory board oversees the scientific evaluation process.

AIMS

The Conference of Childhood, Education & Society (ConferenceCES) shares an organic link with the Journal of Childhood, Education & Society (JCES), and thus, its aims align with those of JCES. In this context, the ConferenceCES strives to play a pivotal role in advancing the understanding of early childhood education, child development, family studies, and early childhood special education from birth through 8 years of age by accomplishing the following objectives:

  • presenting and discussing pre-research outcomes covering a broad range of topics,
  • presenting quantitative, qualitative, mixed and single-subject methodology research and critical review presentations and discussions that make theoretical contributions to the field, and connect theory and practice,
  • providing a forum for the publication of original research related to childhood from an international perspective,
  • bringing together international scholars and audiences from a range of disciplinary and professional fields for a better understanding of the fundamental issues related to childhood.
SCOPE

The ConferenceCES is dedicated to promoting and disseminating international multidisciplinary research in fields such as education, psychology, sociology, health, social work, prevention, and intervention science. It warmly invites scholars and researchers to participate in an engaging and intellectually stimulating forum that embraces a wide array of methodological approaches, including qualitative, quantitative, mixed methods, and single-subject methodologies. This conference focuses on fostering scholarly dialogue and exploration of various topics pertaining to early childhood education, child development, family studies, teacher and professional development, and early childhood special education, spanning the formative years from birth through 8 years of age.

Of particular interest to ConferenceCES are research endeavors and discussions that bridge the gap between theoretical insights and practical implications, offering applicable suggestions that enhance the quality of early childhood practices. Submissions are expected to demonstrate a strong interconnection between theory, policy, and practice, thereby contributing to the advancement of knowledge and the effective implementation of evidence-based approaches in the field of early childhood education studies.
